Most of the articles published in RadioGraphics are peer reviewed twicefirst, as scientific exhibits; second, as written manuscripts. The first process is conducted at the annual scientific assembly of the Radiological Society of North America by the dedicated radiologists who serve on the RadioGraphics subspecialty panels. Each panel is chaired by a member of the Journal's editorial board; the size of the panel depends on the number of exhibits within that subspecialty. All scientific exhibits are reviewed by at least two panelists. Each panel meets and chooses those exhibits with the greatest teaching value and interest. These are recommended for possible publication to the Editor, who invites the authors to submit manuscripts based on their exhibits.

The efforts of the editorial board members and panelists are crucial to the success of RadioGraphics. They volunteer their time at the annual meeting to serve the Journal and the RSNA. On behalf of the RSNA Board of Directors, our sincere thanks go to each of these individuals for their hard work at the 1999 meeting.
