The Image Interpretation Session has long been a favorite plenary session at the Annual Meeting and Scientific Assembly of the Radiological Society of North America, and this years session was no exception. Many thousands of people witnessed these excellent case presentations, moderated by Dr Roberts. The session can be viewed online until March 1, 2007 (go to RSNA 2006, Image Interpretation Session, at rsna2006.rsna.org). The unknown cases were published in the September-October 2006 issue of RadioGraphics, and the diagnoses are given below.
Case 1 Diagnosis: Mycobacterium tuberculosis of the knee
Case 2 Diagnosis: Portal vein pylephlebitis secondary to ruptured appendix
Case 3 Diagnosis: Tumefactive multiple sclerosis
Case 4 Diagnosis: Bleeding from the liver after cholecystostomy tube placement
Case 5 Diagnosis: Nodular pulmonary amyloidosis
Case 6 Diagnosis: Amyloid arthropathy of the shoulder related to long-term hemodialysis
Case 7 Diagnosis: Niemann-Pick disease
Case 8 Diagnosis: Nitrous oxideinduced myelopathy: "Whippets"-induced cobalamin deficiency
Case 9 Diagnosis: Solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas
Case 10 Diagnosis: Metastatic malignant germ cell tumor involving the superior vena cava, right atrium, right ventricle, bilateral pulmonary arteries, and tricuspid valve
