Evaluation of Bowel and Mesenteric Blunt Trauma with Multidetector CT

Movie 1. Axial CT shows beading of ileocolic vessels, mesenteric hematoma and fat stranding, and free intraperitoneal fluid. Note that there is no extravasation of contrast material.

Movie 2. Axial CT shows a hematoma of the small-bowel mesentery and beading of mesenteric vessels. Note the absence of contrast material extravasation.

Movie 3. Axial CT shows hematomas in the lesser sac and retroperitoneum and abrupt termination of the left gastric artery. Note the absence of contrast material extravasation.
