(a) Axial CT scan shows a large right paramediastinal lesion. (b) Coronal PET scan shows increased FDG uptake (arrow) corresponding to the lesion seen in a. Note also the physiologic uptake in the myocardium and kidneys. Although the patient underwent intensive treatment, she had a poor prognosis.
