An 18-year-old man complained of numbness in the lateral aspect of the left lower leg after primary suture for injuries sustained in a car accident. Sagittal US scan shows focal swelling of the common peroneal nerve (arrows). The patient underwent surgery (photograph), during which fibrotic band compression of the common peroneal nerve, resulting in proximal edema (arrows), was found.
