Sagittal US scans show swelling of the proximal portion of the median nerve (arrows) in the right wrist (RT) in a 45-year-old woman. Color Doppler US shows increased vascularity in the swollen part of the nerve. Compare with the normal median nerve (arrowheads) in the left wrist (LT).
