(a) Sagittal T2-weighted image shows thickened myometrium with numerous dilated signal voids (arrows). (b) Axial T2-weighted image shows multiple dilated veins (arrowheads) around the uterus. Abdominal CT demonstrated retrograde filling of the ovarian veins. Pelvic congestion syndrome was suspected on the basis of both the clinical presentation and the imaging findings. The symptoms and uterine size decreased after embolization of the ovarian veins.
