The patient also had a liver contusion, a renal contusion, a skull fracture, a subdural hematoma, and bilateral retinal hemorrhage. (17) Focal hematoma in a 7-year-old boy with lap belt ecchymosis. CT scan shows a hematoma (H) surrounding the distal superior mesenteric artery and vein. The patient was treated conservatively. The finding had resolved at follow-up CT performed 1 month later.
